Great Success!

Today was a good day. It was one of those rare days that was both relaxing and productive.

We woke up early, hopped in the car and headed towards Towson to try out a new restaurant called Truffle Butta Bistro for breakfast. It was quite tasty so be on the lookout for a little more on our visit in the very near future. From there we made our way over to Jos A Bank so I could add to my growing old man wardrobe. I achieved great success and found two short sleeve button down shirts. Not all that exciting, but I was happy to be able to add a few big boy shirts to the repetitious mix of polo shirts I’ve been rocking for the last 15 years. Dressing for success is a real thing young bucks. You can fight the system or you can dress like a dork and impress other dorks. The choice is yours.

From there we ran over to the jewelry store to get our rings cleaned. I’m looking extra ballin’ today and Deana is looking pretty swaggy herself now that our rings are at peak blingablity. I started looking at the Tag Heuer watches while our rings were getting the “spa treatment” and I decided I want one. Expensive, yes, but sophisticated. I figure I’m never going to get the chance to bedazzle myself in the future so a dominant watch seems in order. As a kid I always dreamed of being the guy who could read his watch very quickly and respond in record time when a wayward soul called out for a time check. So what I’m saying is that I don’t want to squander this opportunity to give my wrist the responsibility it’s always been yearning for. One day soon!

After that, coffee at the Baltimore Coffee and Tea Company. We bought a lot of it. Some Viennese Colombian stuff (it’s our go to) and Ethiopian something or other. I think I heard that coffee originated in Ethiopia recently so I’ve been trying to pay my respects by purchasing as much coffee as I can from the birthplace. So far so good. Because we purchased 1.5 million tons of coffee we got free cups of coffee to go. I decided to be a pain in the butt and ask for iced tea instead and then when they offered black tea I got even pickier and asked for green. I’m glad I was demanding about what I should receive as a freebie because the tea was fantastic. 10/10 would drink water mixed with leaves there again. And I’m looking forward to our next visit because I spotted some tea bags they sell there that come in a bag with Starry Night painted on it. Will it taste good? I don’t know. But will it have a neato picture on the bag for me to look at? Yes, it will.

The rest of the day was spent watching Chelsea continue to be awful, the Pens squander their early series advantage against the Rangers, and heading back out real quick for dinner at BJ’s Brewhouse where we enjoyed Mediterranean Pizza and Peach Beer. Really, it was just a good spring day running around with Deana and I’m looking forward to the next one.
